This software helps collect and maintain hardware and software inventory of an organization.
DEKSI Network Inventory provides an inventory of all the hardware and software in use in the organization’s network. This is an easy to use tool for administrators for detailed inventory of everything that is deployed. This software tool enables remote monitoring of the resources, tracking of changes, detailed reports on many aspects of the network. The data could be easily exported to databases like MS Access, MS Excel, CSV, and SQL. It helps you monitor how many copies of a software are actually in use and the number of licenses you have. A comprehensive audit of license keys and the product serial numbers is possible. You can be sure of what exactly the computers of the employees actually have; if they have games or other applications loaded. Discovering the network computers and adding to the inventory, viewing their hardware configuration, software configuration, hardware and software changes tracking are some of the features available. Additional features help track hardware/software changes, creating comparison table of the computers on the net, running queries and getting the reports in Word/Excel/HTML or TXT.
Through the web UI you would be able to generate PDF, DOC and HTML reports, select groups of computers, etc. “Denied software” message will be displayed in red color as a warning when someone tries to use such software. All the data can be transferred to a remote FTP site. The software could be integrated with the network management and monitoring tool from the same company. Detailed software inventory with software details, version information, license status, etc. could be easily generated. This is a very good product. If you are looking for a similar solution, you should try it in your exact workflow.
